GATE SYSTEMS
To prevent traffic buildup in the event of accidents or road maintenance work, "Zavod Prodmash" has developed Gate Systems that safely redirect traffic flow and provide access to emergency services. Manufactured in accordance with STO 07525912-120-2022 (amendment 1) dated July 7, 2023.

Results of Field Testing
A full cycle of field tests was conducted using both a passenger car collision at a speed of 90 km/h and a bus collision, which demonstrated that the system remains functional after a passenger car collision.

To analyze the safety of the gate system during operation on high-speed highways, field tests were conducted. At a speed of 130 km/h, the energy impact of the passenger car collision was 116.5 kJ, and the overall inertial overload was only 0.35 kJ, confirming the high level of safety of the gate system even during high-speed collisions.
Advantages of Using Gate Systems
- The time required to redirect traffic by three workers is no more than 10 minutes;
- No special equipment is required for traffic diversion;
- Gate sections do not connect to the road surface, thus avoiding damage;
- System modularity allows for gate assemblies of various lengths, up to two gates of 15.5 meters each in multiples of 4.5 m and 6.5 m;
- System modularity allows for a minimum of 3 options for traffic diversion;
- The device remains functional (opens without special tools) after a passenger car collision at a speed of 90 km/h (based on field test results);
- Transitional elements have been developed to connect the structure to metal barrier fences or parapets;
- Device suitable for year-round use on Russian roads;
- The device is protected from weather conditions (rain, snow, sun) and chemical agents (anticorrosion protection - hot-dip galvanizing of all main elements with a thickness of at least 80 microns);
- The device is safe and convenient for use by operating organizations.
Structures have already been installed and now are operational at the BAKAD facility in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
