Hot-dip galvanizing of small-size products

The problem of corrosion protection is one of the most important problems nowadays. There are various ways of anti-corrosion protection of metal constructions and the right choice of protection methods may repeatedly cut costs for their usage.

Hot-dip galvanizing is one of the safest and most economic ways of anti-corrosion protection of metal constructions.

It is known that electro-galvanized fasteners are still used for hot-dip galvanized constructions, despite the fact that OST 34-29-566 from 1974 says about necessity of using of hot-dip galvanized metalwares.

When using hot-dip galvanized items together with electroplating, a galvanic coating will break down intensively. It is especially important in installation of responsible constructions, which requirements to safety are always high.

Using of hot-dip galvanized fasteners allows increase longevity of the compound vastly.

Hot-dip galvanized metalwares have 5-7 times greater corrosion resistance in comparing with electro-galvanized fasteners, and longevity of their usage comes near to stainless steel.

Hot-dip galvanizing makes an impermeable barrier between the environment and metal. Wherein physical and chemical features of zinc provide the whole complex of protecting coating features.

It is worth mentioning that protection by hot-dip galvanizing is applied to products, made of low-carbon steel, steel of usual quality and structural steels, also of higher strength. The range of usage of hot-dip galvanized products: energetics – building — urban infrastructure – agriculture – chemical industry – transport and road building – industrial building – oil industry, etc.
